I have always had a passion and interest in being #ForTheKids but never knew exactly how to get involved. As a 3rd year student, I am so happy to have found Cal Poly Dance Marathon. Becoming a part of this movement has been life changing and has made me feel closer to my community. Through this organization, I hope to give children the chance to become Cal Poly Proud.
I love being a role model for kids and helping my community. Cal Poly Dance Marathon gives me the opportunity to continue doing what I love throughout my college experience. Dancing at the big event brings me so much joy. I get to see my peers come together to help the kids and families in my community. It really does make me Cal Poly Proud.
I’m a second year studying psychology and child development! I joined dance marathon because I strongly care about the cause and have done similar work back home at Seattle Children’s Hospital. I love directly working with the miracle families and the Cottage Children’s Medical Center! I can’t wait to continue to advocate for the kids and see the amazing things CPDM will achieve this year!
Having the opportunity to work with such a passionate group of individuals for such a great cause is what drew me to Dance Marathon. Collaborating with this fantastic group has been such a great experience and I am thrilled that we, as students, get to come together to help those who need it most.

I’m a first year Business Administration student and I’m super excited to be on board. I joined CPDM because I want to make a positive difference on campus and in the San Luis Obispo area. I applied for the fundraising chair position because I want to help CPDM and our dancers raise as much money for the kids as we possibly can this year

I am a fourth year student studying sociology, psychology, and public relations. My position on the Executive Board allows me to apply the skills that I have been learning in my classes to an important cause. Being able to experience the San Luis Obispo community and Cal Poly students working together to help the kids is incredibly special.
I’m a second year studying biomedical engineering at Cal Poly! I am super excited to be involved with Dance Marathon at Cal Poly and help kids in our community. Giving children the opportunity of a lifetime is a one of a kind experience. In my role as social media director I want others to see what kind of difference they can make in this amazing organization.

As someone whose family has benefited first hand from the amazing care Children’s Medical Network Hospitals gives, it seemed like a no-brainer to join Cal Poly Dance Marathon. I'm a third year animal science major and have enjoyed working with kids for about ten years now. Cal Poly Dance Marathon is an excellent way to get involved on campus while helping a great cause and I am proud to be a member of the Executive Board supporting our local communities and children!
Dance marathon was a huge highlight of my first year at Cal Poly. It was something that made me truly happy and fulfilled, not knowing it would have made such a big impact on me. I am so excited for this year and actually seeing what goes into this amazing event and see what it means to be apart of something that is so amazing and #FortheKids!
I am currently a third year at Cal Poly studying finance. I love going to the beach with my friends, playing basketball, and watching Netflix and Hulu.
