I have always had a passion and interest in being #ForTheKids but never knew exactly how to get involved. As a 3rd year student, I am so happy to have found Cal Poly Dance Marathon. Becoming a part of this movement has been life changing and has made me feel closer to my community. Through this organization, I hope to give children the chance to become Cal Poly Proud.

I love being a role model for kids and helping my community. Cal Poly Dance Marathon gives me the opportunity to continue doing what I love throughout my college experience. Dancing at the big event brings me so much joy. I get to see my peers come together to help the kids and families in my community. It really does make me Cal Poly Proud.

I’m a second year studying Psychology and Child Development! I joined dance marathon because I strongly care about the cause and have done similar work back home at Seattle Children’s Hospital. I was interested in becoming the hospital relations chair because I was really interested in directly working with the miracle families and the Cottage Children’s Medical Center! I can’t wait to continue to advocate for the kids and see the amazing things CPDM will achieve this year!

Having the opportunity to work with such a passionate group of individuals for such a great cause is what drew me to Dance Marathon. Collaborating with this fantastic group has been such a great experience and I am thrilled that we, as students, get to come together to help those who need it most.

I was born and raised in Seattle, WA and moved to San Luis Obispo to attend Cal Poly. I am currently a 4th year Business Administration major with a concentration in Information Systems.Growing up, I did a lot of backpacking and hiking, which remains to be one of my favorite hobbies. Among others, I also love to play soccer and go on spur of the moment adventures.

I am a third year student studying Sociology, Psychology, and Public Relations. My position on the Executive Board allows me to apply the skills that I have been learning in my classes to an important cause.  Being able to experience the San Luis Obispo community and Cal Poly students working together to help the kids is incredibly special.

In high school, I was always trying to find a way to help out my community. I did a lot of community service and helped my programs student council raise money for our local food bank. So coming to Cal Poly I wanted to find something that would allow me to help out my community while also doing something that I enjoyed, that being social media. I'm so excited to be working with so many great people and really making a difference for the kids

While growing in my Cal Poly community, I sought a group of students who shared my passion in making a difference in other's lives. In Cal Poly Dance Marathon, I found a group so dedicated to engaging our community and fundraising FOR THE KIDS, I immediately fell in love! I've been working as Cal Poly Dance Marathon's graphic designer for 2 years now and am so grateful for the chance to do what I love for a cause I'm passionate about.
